Recirculation Pumps

If you’re standing at your upstairs bathroom sink watching perfectly good water go down the drain for two or three minutes every morning while you wait for hot water to finally arrive, you’re not just wasting time, you’re literally pouring money down the drain.

The solution is surprisingly simple: a Grundfos Comfort System recirculation pump installed above your water heater that continuously circulates hot water through your pipes, so when you turn on that distant faucet, hot water is already there waiting.

We’ll install your recirculation pump properly with correct piping and controls, and you’ll wonder why you put up with that morning wait for so long.

How a Recirculation Pump works

The beauty of the Grundfos Comfort Recirculation Pump is its simplicity. No tearing into walls or running new pipes through your finished spaces. We install a small valve under the sink farthest from your water heater (typically an upstairs bathroom), and that valve allows a small amount of hot water to bleed into the cold water line, which pushes the cooled-off water sitting in your hot water pipes back to the water heater where the recirculation pump sends it through again.

The kit comes standard with one valve, but we can add valves under any sinks you want. The recirculation pump runs on a built-in timer so you can program it to operate only during your family’s high-use times, mornings and evenings, saving energy when nobody’s home.

With the proven performance and positive reviews of the Grundfos system using your existing cold water line as the return, there’s simply no reason to go that expensive route anymore.

I personally guarantee my replacement work for 1-year.

On most replacements it’s a flat rate price
For odd jobs it’s time and material .

99% of jobs I ask for pictures (text or emailed) and I’m able to give pricing right over the phone.

On larger jobs I charge for bids. If I come to your house and figure things out ahead of time. I’ve got to charge for my time

An arrival window is always given. I give text updates through out the day if that time changes. When your the next job and I’m on my way I text with an exact arrival time.

No all parts must be supplied by me (Other than faucets) . I must supply all the parts. I carefully choose parts that work from what I’ve learned from 30 years of experience. Most big box store parts are poor quality.

When I do a job I guarantee no leaks. With homeowner supplied parts I can’t do what.

  • Plumber grade parts are from plumbing supply houses.
  • Low grade/ handyman parts are from big box stores.

The average life of a water heater is 8-12 years. If your heater has any problems and is over 8 years old, trying to repair it is likely a waste of money costing you $400 to repair a water heater that could start leaking again next week.
